Program: M.Sc. Developmental Counselling and Mental Wellbeing
This program addresses the urgent need for mental health support by training students in developmental counselling and holistic well-being. By establishing a strong theoretical foundation in human development across the lifespan, the curriculum ensures students understand various life-stage concerns.
The core of the program emphasizes practical application, preparing students to implement counselling strategies within family, educational, and social environments. Ultimately, the training focuses on a vital mission: equipping individuals with the tools to manage stress and sustain mental health at every stage of life.
Duration: 2 years (4 semesters) Full time

Eligibility :
- B.Sc. Human Development, B.A. Psychology, B.Sc. Sociology (with specialization in social work) or PG in counselling and allied discipline, with a minimum aggregate of 55%marks.
- Students should have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in the undergraduate degree from a UGC recognized University.
Procedure for Admission
Students have to appear for an Entrance Test, and selected candidates will appear for the Interview.

Mental Wellbeing Activities



- Identify and describe the fundamental concepts and skills required in Developmental Psychology across life span and Mental Wellbeing
- Demonstrate skills for applying pedagogical knowledge in planning and implementing of developmentally appropriate programs for psychological intervention in community setups
- Identify the factors and analyse the implications of gender, culture and contextual diversity on mental wellbeing of an individual
- Apply a strength based approach towards helping individuals to deal with developmental issues and concerns through counselling and mental wellbeing programs in community setups
- Engage with the community at large for participation in developmental programs and situational concerns.
- Identify and critically evaluate the theoretical and developmental foundations of approaches to counselling and mental wellbeing
- Use relevant technology and other contemporary mediums of instruction for professional growth and development in the field of Developmental Counselling and mental wellbeing
- Analyse the significance of education and intervention solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate the knowledge of and need for sustainable development
- Demonstrate ethical values, scientific attitude and creative thought processes in designing viable programs for the community in the field of Developmental Counselling and mental wellbeing
- Recognize the need and ability to engage in independent and lifelong learning processes in the broadest context of technological change to work collaboratively and productively in groups
