The Institution strides in the path to progress by empowering and engaging with its stakeholders in their forward journey. SVT UNNATI –EIP CELL has been conceptualised on this philosophy for building women Entrepreneurs. The objective of the cell is to build an entrepreneurial mind set in students. The college has strived to create an ecosystem for the students to ideate, innovate and incubate leading to Entrepreneurial ventures for products and services. A network with experts and collaborating institutions has strengthened the services provided by the EIP cell to all stakeholders.

“UTKARSH- Motivational Lecture Series” has been conceived as an initiative by the EIP cell to strengthen the mind-set in students to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. The first set of lectures had been planned on the topic of ‘Starting Up- The Path to Entrepreneurship”.

The inauguration of the series was held on 1^st June, 2021 from 4:30PM to 7:30 PM. The program details are attached.

STARTING UP-The Path to Entrepreneurship

Ms. Paurl Vats warmly welcomed the Principal, Main Guests of the Program and Faculty and Students. The first session was on the experience of the entrepreneur journey by our alumnus student entrepreneurs Ms. Simran Bapu and Ms. Rutu Moradia.

Ms. Parul introduced Ms. Simran Bapu to the audience as the student alumnus of Department of Food Nutrition and Dietetics and Masters program M.Sc. Specialized Dietetics. I

Ms. Simran Bapu spoke about her venture of Paleoo Bakes, her product trials, menu finalization, collaboration with companies for fitness and healthy foods. She also spoke about their contribution in providing free meals as home delivery during COVID. She emphasized that her knowledge from College has helped her journey.

Ms. Zainab Introduced Ms. Rutu Moradia, student alumnus of Dept. of Textile and Apparel Designing and Masters Program of M. Design (Fashion Design) to share her experience of reviving a company DIVAAZA through her ideation of business growth through Social media.

Ms. Rutu Moradia described the ways of reviving the company DIVAZAA through the times of Pandemic and in the revival of the business growth through social media channel. The success of simple designs has helped in the growth of the business. She explained that her knowledge gained through her practical training and subject knowledge has assisted in the process of the revival of the company.

The questions posted by the students were answered well by the student entrepreneurs. The SVT UNNATI EIP CELL & IIC Council objectives and action was explained by Dr. Anuradha Ramesh.

Our College Principal Dr.Jagmeet Madan welcomed all and gave an overview about the concept of UTKARSH and how the students will be helped to realize their dreams. She welcomed Dr. Smarta and Dr. Vishal Marwah, the Chief Guests for the program.

Dr. Bhamini introduced Dr. Smarta to the Audience and invited him to share his ideas on “Start Up Mantra- Ideas to Action”. It was emphasized on five learnings –on taking risk and being unconventional in approach to business with examples from companies who have worked in understanding the consumer and provides products.

Ms. Anju Tulshyan introduced Dr. Vishal Marwah an entrepreneur whose company Vishwas Wellness has created a lot of programs to promote the concept of wellness. Dr. Vishal Marwah spoke about “An Entrepreneur’s Journey –7 successful Mistakes of my Life “. He spoke about his journey from being a medical Doctor by profession to his starting the organization in a story with great learning’s to students.

This was followed by an interactive session of Questions and answers were moderated by Dr. Armaiti Shukla. Students posed very interesting questions from decision making, how to recognize which ideas for entrepreneurship will be better, to make practical decisions about the ideas to be taken forward. The students were given ideas and opinions by the experts.

Ms. Zainab Pathria proposed the Vote of Thanks and thanked the guests, Faculty and students who have participated in the program. She also thanked the team IIC COUNCIL & SVT UNNATI EIP CELL who has helped in organizing the entire event.

It was informed to the participants that the next lecture date will be announced.
