Program : B.Sc. Hospitality & Tourism Management

This specialization offers training to students in the managerial, organizational, service, financial and technical issues related to working processes in the hotel and tourism industry. It presents a systematic approach to comprehend the components of a hotel and travel operations.

The curriculum is designed to provide training for professional engagements in hotel, facility management and tourism sector . Courses like Food & Beverage Administration, Customer Relationship Management, Event Management, Retail Management etc. are integrated to enhance the professional avenues.

The program has a wholistic approach with emphasis on resource management through courses dealing with management of human and non-human resources, entrepreneurship, personal finance, safety practices, image management and more. The perspective is to enhance the skills and personal capacities of the students during the 3 year process.

I was a part of the Resource Management Department, specializing in Hospitality and Tourism Management. We had an array of subjects extensively covering various domains. The course has a perfect blend of theoretical as well as practical knowledge. The subjects involved and the topics discussed were very interesting. It was so exciting to learn about the details of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Education was made easily comprehensive by providing us with maximum and detailed explanations. The Faculties of our department also helped us prepare for the practical experiences by giving us certain examples and a few tips to keep in mind whilst being a beginner. My journey was exciting and full of curiosity. It's difficult to sum up the memories and experience of these three years in few lines. These years have not only made me grow academically but have also redesigned my personality. College Events to Competitions to Submissions or even the slightest of tasks, are everything that I cherish till date. These years were surely amazing yet so challenging but at every step I had the faculty of my Department playing their best of roles, doing their best they can. When I reflect on my three years in the Resource management department for the Hospitality & Tourism course, I conclude that the experience not only made me a better person, but also prepared me in unpredictable ways for my career. Through workshops with incredibly supportive classmates, and professors who were nothing short of champions, I was challenged to discover a voice I didn’t know I had. There is something motivational and special in this environment which made us study and enjoy co-curricular activities.
