ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • MUSIC CLUB

Educational Background

  1. Formal Education: A degree in music, preferably in vocal performance, music education, or a related field.
  2. Specialized Training: Courses or certifications specifically in Western classical singing and music pedagogy.

Skills and Knowledge

  1. Vocal Technique: Strong understanding of vocal techniques and ability to demonstrate and teach them.
  2. Music Theory: Proficiency in music theory, sight-reading, and ear training.
  3. Repertoire Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of Western classical repertoire and its historical context.
  4. Accompaniment Skills: Ability to play piano, guitar or another instrument to accompany students during lessons.
  5. Conducting: Skills in conducting, especially for group singing classes.

Experience

  1. Teaching Experience: Prior experience in teaching singing, both in one-on-one and group settings. To prepare students for Intra-collegiate, Intercollegiate, University level, state level, national level and international level.
  2. Performance Experience: Experience as a performer in Western and Classical music, which adds credibility and practical insights.
  • DANCE CLUB

Educational Background

  1. Formal Education: A degree or diploma in dance, with a focus on folk dance, classical dance, or dance education.
  2. Specialized Training: Training in specific folk and classical dance styles from recognized institutions or under renowned gurus.

Skills and Knowledge

  1. Dance Technique: Mastery of the techniques and styles of the specific folk and classical dances.
  2. Cultural Knowledge: Deep understanding of the cultural and historical contexts of the dances.
  3. Choreography: Ability to create, adapt, and choreograph for different levels of dance performers.
  4. Music Understanding: Knowledge of the music associated with the dances, including rhythm, tempo, and musicality.

Experience

Teaching Experience: Prior experience in teaching dance, both in individual and group settings. To prepare students for Intra-collegiate, Intercollegiate, University level, state level, national level and international level.

  2. Performance Experience: Extensive performance experience in the specific theatre styles, which provides practical insights and inspiration for students.

  1. Formal Education: A degree in theatre arts, drama, performance studies, or a related field.
  2. Specialized Training: Courses or certifications specifically in directing, acting, or theatre education.

Skills and Knowledge

  1. Acting Techniques: Proficiency in various acting techniques and the ability to teach them.
  2. Directing Skills: Strong directing skills to guide students in creating cohesive and engaging performances.
  3. Script Analysis: Ability to analyse scripts and help students understand character development, plot, and themes.
  4. Improvisation: Skills in improvisation, which are essential for skits, mime, and street plays.
  5. Physical Theatre: Understanding of physical theatre techniques, particularly for mime and expressive movement.
  6. Stagecraft: Basic knowledge of stagecraft, including set design, lighting, and costumes, especially for street plays and skits.

Experience

Teaching Experience: Previous experience in teaching theatre, including one-act plays, skits, mime, and street plays. To prepare students for Intra-collegiate, Intercollegiate, University level, state level, national level and international level.

Performance Experience: Extensive performing experience in or directing one-act plays, skits, mime performances, and street theatre.

TENURE:  Phase one- 30 hrs. (Saturday 3 hrs and one working day 2hrs)

Phase two- To prepare students for Yuva Mohostav, Intercollegiate and other    competitions at state, national and international level.
